KARL MARX
(May 5, 1818 - March 14, 1883)
German scholar and originator of the fundamental theory of communism, Marx viewed political, social, and economic reality as based in the class struggle. He predicted that capitalism would destroy itself and the proletariat would come to power and begin a new age, free of economic exploitation. Marx wrote much of his work, including 'The Communist Manifesto' and 'Das Kapital,' with Friedrich Engels.

Title: Everybody's favorite, but what about his rival?
I like this card very much. My only complaint is that there is no Mikhail Bakunin card! One is long overdue for this Russian anarchist, friend and then rival of Marx.
