William Shakespeare

There's toys abroad: anon I'll tell thee more. -King John; Act I, scene 1

Sure, Shakespeare could write some heavy stuff. But when he chose to lighten up, no one was more playful than The Bard. So we think he would have loved our Shakespeare Little Thinker Doll. He stands about 11 inches tall and is handsomely decked out in Elizabethan garb, from his boots right up to his ruffled collar. The Shakespeare Little Thinker makes a perfect gift for any student, actor, or writer. Or get one for yourself -- He's cute, cuddly, and scholarly -- exactly As You Like It!

'A Shakespeare doll! A Shakespeare doll! My kingdom for this Shakespeare doll!' -- King Richard III

WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
(April 24, 1564 - April 23, 1616)
Shakespeare is one of the greatest, if not THE greatest writer of the English-speaking world. Composing thirty-seven plays and several volumes of poetry, he truly had 'a Muse of fire.'

Title: Perfect for the lit lover
Another example of a great gift for a Shakespeare enthusiast. This Little Thinker has a great costume (and really, it's the clothes that make the man), which is something I look for when selecting a Thinker. Will is currently sitting on my friend's shelf beside his buddy Freud.

Title: Charming
Charming little Shakespeare fellow. He sits upon one of the bookshelves in my classroom inspiring all that lay eyes upon him. He doesn't talk much.

Title: My favorite Bard!
This wonderful little Shakespeare sits on my office shelf, next to the Complete Works and all the individually bound plays. He is a very cheery fellow.

Title: Fantastic Teaching Tool!
I adore my Little Thinkers! I have William Shakespeare and Edgar Allan Poe. I use them in my college English classes when we work with these authors; they are known affectionately as "Lil' Shakes" and "Lil' Poe." Thank you UPG for making fun, educational things that really get my students interested in learning about literature!!
