Arthur Schopenhauer

Schopenhauer believed that through contemplation of the Will, we can apprehend the ultimate principle of the universe. Through contemplation of the Schopenhauer puppet, we can apprehend the ultimate principle of fun. On your finger, he's a puppet; on your fridge, he's a magnet; in your puppet collection he's tormented by desire, but aren't we all?

ARTHUR SCHOPENHAUER
February 22, 1788 - September 21, 1860)
The Will to Power, Schopenhauer declared, is the greatest evil in the world. It dooms humanity to endless suffering. Happiness is but a dream. He is often called the 'philosopher of pessimism.' He sought refuge from suffering in music and Indian philosophy. His writing on music was especially influential on a young Richard Wagner.

Title: Schpenhauer puppet
It's not easy to find Schopenhauer merchandising and my best friend is crazy about Scholpenhauer. He was jubilant to receive this.
